Excellent. They were both very patient and they were very familiar with the IB curriculum of their respective subjects.

Ms Jullie is a very patient teacher. She was willing to explain a concept several times till I understood. She gave me practice questions after explaining and went through all my doubts. I appreciated her letting me work independently first before asking her if I had any doubts. She went through the question step by step (since steps can’t be missed) and that helped me with my revision as well. I have been taught by Ms Jullie for quite a few years and I think both she and I managed to learn about each other’s teaching and learning methods so that we could effectively make each lesson useful, especially in the months leading up to IB.

Initially I struggled with learning in class and my confidence fell, but working at Ms Mengyang helped me to fully understand and improved my maths ability. She also helped me to gain confidence in my maths skills through her kindness, supportive nature and approachability especially when in class. Thank you for helping me through my maths journey.

Mr Hongyi and Mr Kin Leong are both very dedicated and skilled tutors that have helped me improve my failing grades to well above passing marks, very close to a distinction. In a very short time, Mr Kin Leong was able to help me consolidate my Chemistry learning and correct my many misconceptions that were pulling my grades down. Similarly, Mr Hongyi was very patient with me and is very skilled in finding alternate ways to explain a concept when I could not understand it the first time. I am very thankful to the two of them for helping me achieve the grades I have today.

I did not think I could ever in my entire IBDP journey do well on my economics. Ms Jamuna is a great teacher who could clearly communicate the syllabus to me. I was starting to struggle in Maths a little and Mr Jack helped with explaining concepts from scratch.

Mr.Hongyi was excellent at breaking down topics and presenting them in a clear and understandable manner, with me being able to quickly get a grasp on topics I was previously having trouble with.
He was also good at giving me advice on how to solve different questions, including what kind of approaches to take, what techniques would be most effective, what to be careful of, and other tricks that I can use to simplify problems.
It was also useful that he could tell specifically what kinds of questions within a topic I need to practice, which is something I would not always be able to do.
The topical exam papers available were also extremely useful since I could use them to practice specific things easily, rather than having to dig through past papers to find questions.

Having struggled with both physics and lang lit in my first year as an IB student, I quickly turned towards outside help. The Mindlab tutors are unique because they are well-versed in the IB curriculum and have a wealth of resources and experience teaching it. The individual attention I was given every week forced me not only to constantly put in the work required to do well in the IB but also gave me a strong guide to ensure I was constantly improving and given feedback. My physics tutor, Mr Hong Yi, is one of the few physics teachers who is not only extremely comfortable with the curriculum but is also extremely clear in his explanations. I remember being surprised at how much I was picking up in every one of our 1.5 hour lessons. Similarly, Ms Lyn, my language and literature tutor, understands the standards that IB markers expect in our written work, and constantly give me feedback on how to improve my essays, imparting skills and knowledge that have dramatically improved my grades (from a low 5 to a 7). Despite not struggling in math, I decided to take on tuition since I was still unconfident in certain areas. My time with Mr David and Mr Kin Leong has no doubt improved not only my mathematical knowledge but my exam skills as well. I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to my tutors at Mindlab for their constant belief in me and their hard work. My son received a 7 for English, Maths and Econs. Mr Sean was very efficient in helping my son get an excellent grasp of how to analyse, organise and be clear when he writes. Ms Siti is an amazing tutor as she managed to help me understand all the concepts taught in the course and identify and build on my weak points through her very well structured sessions. Her teaching method enables swift, accurate and easy to understand explanations which made things clear and straight to the point for me. My Chem tutor has also helped me significantly, in a very short period of time she clearly explained every chapter of the course. She helped identify my weak points and found solutions to strengthen them through teaching me various methods to solve the questions.

My amath was very bad at first. I always get a C for the common tests and other exams. Whatever I asked Mr jiabin for help, he kindly answered every question. Mr Enrico has been a wonderful teacher throughout my entire time with him.
