About Cambridge IGCSE
Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is a well-recognised international curriculum for students usually 14 to 16 years old, leading to globally recognised Cambridge IGCSE qualifications (A'Levels) or IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Program). It encourages learner-centred and enquiry-based approaches to learning. The course also develops creative thinking, enquiry, and problem-solving skills, giving students excellent foundations for the next stage of their education. The certification is awarded to students after passing the IGCSE examinations for at the minimum, 5 subjects of their choice. The examinations are held twice yearly: May-June and October-November.

IGCSE Exam Preparation Course
The IGCSE is usually a 2 year course undertaken in international schools in the third and fourth year of Middle School or Secondary Education. At Mindlab, full time students will have to opportunity to fast-track the lessons and sit for the exam with less than 1 year of preparation. The course is conducted over face to face in-centre classes or online.
Students in Singapore and overseas could enrol for the classes.

Pre-Registration: How can Mindlab help my child if my child is considering to register as a private candidate for IGCSE?
We could provide you with a free consultation to know more about your child's current level. From the discussion, we would be able to recommend the next steps which could vary per student.
Scenario 1: If the child has a historical record of the latest exam taken, we could be able to derive from this, and the length of time to prepare for the nearest exam date, if it is advisable to take the next IGCSE exams or the succeeding one. This information could give you more an idea on which testing date to register for and how long the duration will be to prepare towards the exam.
Scenario 2: If the student has no available record of test scores, we could provide a free assessment test. From this assessment test, we will be able to provide recommendations for the planning and preparation accordingly.
We believe that each child has unique needs so we personalise our classes and recommendations.
Registration: Does Mindlab provide registration services for IGCSE private candidates?
Mindlab does not provide registration services. This will have to be done by the client themselves. You may check the British Council website for the registration dates and information.
Is Mindlab a school?
No, Mindlab is not a school. Mindlab is a tuition centre that specialises in preparing students for exams such as IGCSEs, O' Levels, and IBDP, among others.
Can Mindlab apply for student visas for students based abroad?
No, Mindlab does not provide student visa services.
What are the fees like?
Kindly contact us so we could do an initial consultation, rates, and quotation. Fees and discounts depend on the length of time towards the exam and number of subjects you would enrol for.
What other fees do I need to pay ie. textbook, materials, etc. if my child signs up for classes?
Textbooks are not included with the tuition fees. The tutors per subject you have signed up for will recommend if any textbooks you will need to purchase for the classes.
Notes are free and will be provided by our tutors accordingly as the lessons progress. These notes are not for sale at Mindlab.
Past year and question bank practice papers are complimentary as well, and will be provided by our tutors accordingly as the lessons progress. They are not for sale.
